About Susan Meier and Pollen Paper&Press

Susan Meier is a handmade paper and book artist who has exhibited in the U.S., Canada and Europe.  Her education includes a B.A. in Biology (Maryville College, TN) and an M.F.A. in the Book Arts from the Lamar Dodd School of Art at UGA, where she was a recipient of the Award of Distinction. Ms. Meier studied Scientific Illustration with Lloyd Logan of the Smithsonian Institute and served as a scientific illustrator for the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences, UGA.  Susan was employed as a research assistant at Emory University before supervising research facilities at the University of Georgia.  Ms Meier worked as the Graphic Designer and Technical Support Specialist for the Spruill Center for the Arts in Atlanta Georgia, where she also taught workshops in Papermaking and the Book Arts.  Susan continues her make paper and collages at her home studio under the name of Pollen Paper&Press.
